Netbook DVD Drives

Some might argue that in the current era of connectivity there is not really much need for optical media. For example, software can be bought and installed remotely over the Internet, games can be downloaded via services such as Steam or Amazon’s game download service and we can stream music directly to our netbooks. Samsung Tablet Update: Galaxy Tab

As has mentioned before here on the SammyNetbook.com blog, Samsung are promising to deliver a tablet or two later on in the year. As I’ve also said on this blog, I’m a big fan of the touchscreen tablet concept and look forward to buying one myself. I don’t quite know which model yet, but possibly a Sammy…  and not an iPad (not at UK prices at least!). Although it makes sense to share tablet info here at SammyNetbook.com I don’t want it to drift completely off topic...

ASUS officially launches EeeKeyboard PC

It’s finally official people. After over a year of waiting (and I really do mean over a year here), ASUS has finally officially unveiled the EeeKeyboard PC. With nettop/netbook guts on the inside, the EeeKeyboard PC takes all-in-one computing to a whole new level by packaging everything into the keyboard form factor (although it’s certainly not the first vendor to do so of course). The EeeKeyboard PC features an Atom processor on the inside, a 5 inch multi-touch display on the right hand side ...
